The CVE (Countering Violent Extremism) Speaker Visit project, implemented from January 10, 2017 to November 30, 2017, brought together some of the most active community organization leaders in the regions of Skopje and Tetovo to build their organizational capacities to counter violent extremism. To assist in the capacity building process, Democracy Lab invited a speaker with notable success in in the United State to share their experience and best practices on how to get started with and involved in this issue. Through an informal setting of discussion and experience-sharing, the participants were empowered to explore opportunities, activities, and different tools and resources in order to initiate activities, projects, and solutions to impact their own communities related to the topic.
